As a Director of Finance , you will be a key member of our leadership team, responsible for overseeing the financial and business support functions of the hotel. Your expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and business analysis will drive our financial success and ensure operational efficiency.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the hotel’s financial strategy in alignment with company objectives.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Provide financial guidance and recommendations to the General Manager and senior leadership.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, identifying trends and variances.
- Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to evaluate and optimize business processes.
- Conduct feasibility studies and financial analyses for potential projects or investments.
- Support business development efforts and strategic decision-making.
- Manage cash flow and liquidity to ensure operational needs are met.
- Implement effective treasury and cash management practices.
- Identify financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and company policies.
- Facilitate internal and external audits.
- Lead, manage, and develop the finance and business support team.
- Provide training and mentorship to enhance financial knowledge and capability.
- Implement cost-control measures while maintaining quality and service standards.
- Oversee procurement activities, negotiate vendor contracts, and optimize supplier relationships.
- Stay updated on financial technology trends and recommend systems improvements.
- Ensure efficient use of financial systems and tools.
- Operate in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, prioritizing the well-being of guests and colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Strong background in financial management and hotel accounting systems.
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and month-end closing.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing and developing finance teams.
- Solid knowledge of local regulations, compliance requirements, and internal controls.
- Experience preparing financial analysis and reporting for senior management.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with operational teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (professional certifications preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years as a Director of Finance.
